How do self-heating cans work?
In only 3 minutes and in 6 easy steps, you will have your very own hot drink. The way that our products self-heat is through a very simple exothermic reaction that occurs between Calcium Oxide (quick-lime) and water. The result of this reaction is heat, which releases a small amount of steam from the bottom.

1. Open the bottom lid

2. Press until the liquid disappears

3. Wait for steam to appear
|

4. Flip the can 180° immediately when steam appears
|
5. Stir/Shake for 5 seconds
|
6. Wait for 3 minutes, open and enjoy!

What is self-heating technology?
No additional equipment or setup is required:

When you press down on the base of the can, a controlled, exothermic natural reaction, takes place inside the inner can between Calcium Oxide (also called Calcium Lime or Quick Lime) and water. The heat is then transferred to the beverage through thermal conductivity of the tin plate.

As a result, the can will 'Shelf-Heat'. Once activated, +42°C Self-Heat cans increase the contents temperature by +42°C above the initial temperature in 3 minutes and maintain this heat for about 20 minutes.
